Application of Macao Visa for Foreigners

   1.     Malaysian citizens

Malaysian passport holders visiting Macao are exempted from visa and the duration will be decided by the Public Security Police Force of Macao S.A.R.

 

2.     Non- Malaysian citizens

2.1Non-Malaysian citizens are advised to refer to the website of the Public Security Police Force to check whether they are exempted from visa of should apply for the "visa-upon-arrival" in Macao.

2.2Visitors from Bangladesh, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan Sri Lanka, and Vietnam are required to apply for a valid Macao visa in advance through the Chinese embassy or consulate instead of applying for a visa-upon-arrival. Nonetheless, the consular officials of these countries stationed on Chinese territory, the officials of various international organizations and their family can apply for "visa-upon-arrival" with their passport, diplomatic/consular identity card or staff card.

 

3.     How to apply

3.1You should submit your application to the Public Security Police Force of Macao S.A.R. or the Consular office of the Chinese Embassy in Malaysia.

3.2 Supporting Documents

(1)The passport should be valid for more than 6 months with blank visa pages.

(2) Visa application form, passport photo and a photocopy of the passport. (Form download address http://www.fsm.gov.mo/psp/cht/pdf/psp_top6/psp_top6_sim_03_1_cp.pdf)

(3)The original and copy of applicant's Malaysian visa.

(4) Other documents for different purpose of visit

A) Leisure: itinerary of visit (round-trip flight ticket, hotel booking and daily schedule) and latest 3 months bank statements.

B) Business trip or conference: itinerary of visit (round-trip flight ticket and hotel booking), invitation letter and latest 3 month bank statements.

C) Family of friend visit: itinerary of visit (round-trip flight ticket and hotel booking), photocopy of relatives HK ID, and invitation letter and latest 3 months bank statements.

(5)Other supplementary documents required by the Embassy or Public Security Police Force.

 

4. Processing time

1 - 4 weeks. Please confirm with the counter staff.

   

5.Fees and payment:  

5.1 If you submit documents directly to the Public Security Police Force, please pay the fee as required

5.2 You are required to pay MYR140.00 per person for Macao visa fee.

5.3 An additional telecom liaison fee of MYR90.00 per person is required if the application is transferred to Public Security Police Force, no matter the application is approved or not.

 

6.Method of payment

Collect the pay slip at counter one and pay the fee at Bank of China (ground floor).
