China is to both widen the scope and extend the stay duration of the Malaysian citizens who fall into the listed categories of China’s visa waiver pilot policy to Malaysia, which is effective from 0:00 November 30, 2024 to 24:00 December 31, 2025(Beijing time). Ordinary passport holders of Malaysian citizenship who come to China for the purposes of doing business, sightseeing, seeing relatives or friends, making transits, attending exchange programs or making visits, can enter China visa-free and stay in the country for no more than 30 days. Those who do not fall into the above-listed categories still need to obtain a visa before going to China.
