Chargés d'Affaires Ad Interim Tang Rui Attended the Condolence Ceremony for Tun Rahah

On 19 December, Chargés d'affaires ad interim Mr. Tang Rui attended the condolence ceremony at Ar-Rahah Mosque for Tun Rahah Tan Sri Mohamed Noah, spouse of late H.E. Tun Abdul Razak bin Dato' Hussein, the 2nd Prime Minister of Malaysia, and mother of YB. Dato' Sri Mohammad Najib bin Tun Abdul Razak, the 6th Prime Minister of Malaysia. Mr. Tang Rui offered condolences to YB Dato' Sri Najib Razak and his family for the passing away of Tun Rahah.

Mr. Tang Rui said that H.E. Tun Razak was an outstanding Malaysian statesman who visited China in 1974 and, together with then Chinese Premier Zhou En-lai, signed the Joint Communiqué which established the diplomatic ties between China and Malaysia, opening a new chapter for China-Malaysia relations. Tun Rahah also paid close attention to the development of China-Malaysia relations and rendered support to the bilateral cooperation between the two countries. The Chinese side will forever remember and be grateful for the significant contributions by H.E. Tun Razak and his family to the China-Malaysia relations.
