In the afternoon of 20th December, Ouyang Yujing, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Malaysia, has arrived in Malaysia. Officers from the Protocol Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia and Minister of the Embassy Mr. Tang Rui welcomed the Ambassador at KLIA.
During the press interview at the airport, Ambassador Ouyang said Malaysia is a blessed land with natural wonders, a diverse and inclusive culture as well as a warm and friendly people. The tremendous support and dedication given to the China-Malaysia relations by the Malaysian government and friends from all walks of life over the years has impressed him deeply. It is both an honor and a destiny for him to be appointed as the Chinese Ambassador to Malaysia. In the following years, he wishes that he could have the chance to explore the beauty of Malaysia in depth, to sow more seeds and to harvest more fruits for China-Malaysia friendship.
Ambassador Ouyang pointed out that over the years and with the joint efforts by the Chinese and Malaysian sides, the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between China and Malaysia is now mature and well-established. The two countries have deepened the mutually beneficial cooperation, and in the meantime overcome challenges as friends and partners. In the face of the sudden outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, China and Malaysia have been working closely to overcome the difficulties, which has pushed the friendship between two countries to a new height. China and Malaysia will continue to join hands in coping with challenges such as containing the pandemic and recovering the economy. He feels greatly honored to be appointed as the 16th Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Malaysia at this critical moment and is fully aware of the important responsibility on the shoulder. He will do his utmost efforts to work closely with Malaysian friends from all walks of life to bring China-Malaysia relations to a new level. Together, China and Malaysia will forever be good neighbors, friends, partners and brothers.
