From March 19 to 23, 2023, Minister Tang Rui and his delegation visited Sabah and Sarawak, during which they met with Sabah Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Seri Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan and Sarawak Deputy Premier Dato' Sri Dr. Sim Kui Hian, attended the Handover Ceremony of Essential Goods for Ramadan with IKRAM Organisation Malaysia in Kuching, interacted with representatives of local communities, uniform personnel, tourism industry and the media in both regions, and conducted field visits to Chinese companies. They were joined by Chinese Consul General in Kota Kinabalu Mr. Huang Shifang and Chinese Consul General in Kuching Mr. Xing Weiping in the respective regions.
