At the Chinese New Year's Reception on February 2 hosted by the Chinese Embassy in Malaysia, H.E. Ambassador Ouyang Yujing and Malaysia's Deputy Prime Minister Dato' Sri Fadillah Yusof launched the official logo for the 50th anniversary of China and Malaysia establishing diplomatic ties.

Inspired by Malaysia's batik painting, the logo is set against background colours of the flags of China and Malaysia such as red, blue and yellow, incorporating graphics depicting China's Great Wall and the Giant Panda; Malaysia's Petronas Twin Towers and National Flower Bunga Raya with other elements of the two countries in symbolising the close affinity and shared destiny of China-Malaysia friendly relations.
