On September 13, Chinese Embassy in Malaysia hosted the reception celebrating the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.

More than 1,200 guests attended, including Malaysia's Transport Minister Anthony Loke Siew Fook, Tourism, Arts, and Culture Minister Dato Sri Tiong King Sing, Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs) Dato' Dr. Mohd Na'im Mokhtar, Youth and Sports Minister Hannah Yeoh Tseow Suan, Human Resources Minister Steven Sim Chee Keong, Chief of Defence Forces General Tan Sri Mohammad Ab Rahman, Deputy Education Minister Wong Kah Woh, National Security Council Director-General Raja Dato' Nurshirwan Zainal Abidin, Foreign Affairs Ministry Multilateral Affairs Department Deputy Secretary-General Dato' Bala Chandran Tharman, and other senior officials, political leaders, friends from various sectors, foreign envoys to Malaysia, diaspora community, and representatives of Chinese enterprises and international students in Malaysia.
