On June 30, the Opening Ceremony of “Building A Community of Shared Future for Mankind” Lecture & Workshop has taken place at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP). Present to deliver an address were H.E. Ambassador Ouyang Yujing and Malaysia’s Science, Technology, and Innovation Minister Chang Lih Kang, joined by UTP President Mohamed Firouz Asnan along with nearly 300 academic personnel and students.
Ambassador Ouyang Yujing shared the essence, achievements, and significance of building a community of shared future for mankind. He said, “China-Malaysia relations serve as the best example in carrying out the concept of a community of shared future. To usher in the next "golden 50 years" of bilateral relations, it is key to implement the important outcomes of President Xi Jinping’s visit to Malaysia in April this year. We must work together on matters of common concern by being on the same wavelength and moving in tandem, strengthen strategic coordination, deepen the synergy of development, enhance people-to-people exchanges, and pursue a closer multilateral cooperation as we build a high-level strategic China-Malaysia community with a shared future.”
Minister Chang Lih Kang said that in the future development of Malaysia-China relations, the youth will be the core strength and driving force. The two countries should together nurture future generations with the concept of a community of shared future in mind.
