On March 11, Minister of the Chinese Embassy in Malaysia, Zheng Xuefang attended and delivered a speech at the Ramadan Food Basket Contribution Ceremony, joined by President of IKRAM Malaysia, Badlishah Sham Baharin and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Yayasan Ikram Malaysia, Ainullotfi Abdul Latif, along with close to a hundred Muslim guests.

On behalf of the Chinese Embassy in Malaysia, Minister Zheng presented the Ramadan food baskets to Muslim friends. He said that the essence of Islamic civilization, such as compassion, tolerance, and harmony, resonate with many traditional virtues of Chinese civilization. For many years, the Chinese Embassy has been working together with Malaysia’s government and non-government organizations to support the livelihood and welfare of Malaysians. In the inaugural year of China’s 15th Five-Year Plan and Malaysia’s 13th Malaysia Plan, China stands ready to work with Malaysia to further share development opportunities and keep advancing the building of a high-level strategic China-Malaysia community with a shared future, so as to better benefit both countries and both peoples.
Badlishah thanked China for their long-term support and said that the Chinese Embassy's goodwill shows that the spirit of helping people in hardship knows no race or borders.
