On May 29, the book presentation ceremony for the Chinese Edition of The Asian Renaissance written by Malaysia’s Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim was held in Kuala Lumpur. Witnessed by H.E. Ambassador Ouyang Yujing, the Editor-in-Chief of China International Communications Group (CICG), Gao Anming presented the new Chinese edition of The Asian Renaissance to Prime Minister Anwar.

Originally written in English, The Asian Renaissance was published in 1996 during Anwar's tenure as the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia. In the book, Anwar advocates for Asian countries to seek common ground and forge shared values while reserving differences in cultural exchanges, and build a “community of humanity” through dialogue among civilizations. With various references made to classical Chinese thought, many of his views align with the important concepts proposed by President Xi Jinping, such as building a community with a shared future for humanity and the Global Civilization Initiative (GCI).

The Chinese Edition of The Asian Renaissance was officially published by CICG in March 2026.
