On June 3, the 2026 1st Lecture and Workshop on Building a Community with a Shared Future for Humanity, along with its opening ceremony, has been held at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). Present were Minister of the Chinese Embassy in Malaysia, Zheng Xuefang; Deputy Minister of Economy of Malaysia, Indera Mohd Shahar Abdullah; personnel of Southeast Asia Research Centre for Humanities (SEARCH), as well as UPM representatives and nearly 200 of its teachers and students.

Minister Zheng gave a comprehensive overview of China's solutions for reforming and improving global governance, as well as the contributions of Chinese modernization to global development. He said that China stands ready to work together with Malaysia to make solid progress in building a high-level strategic China-Malaysia community with a shared future, and to work with all countries to advance the building of a community with a shared future for humanity.

Mohd Shahar said that building a community with a shared future for humanity is highly aligned with the core values of Malaysia MADANI. He said that Malaysia attaches great importance to its relations with China and will draw on China's advanced experiences in scientific and technological innovation and talent development, so as to continuously deepen both countries’ cooperation across various fields.
