On April 10, Chinese Embassy in Malaysia held the 2026 1st Bringing Consular Protection to Campus, at Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM). Present to speak were Minister Zheng Xuefang and President of XMUM, Prof. Wang Ruifang, joined by representatives from Malaysia’s police force, banks, legal practitioners, and volunteers, along with over 400 Chinese international students.

Minister Zheng said that the current momentum of China-Malaysia relations remains strong, providing broad prospects for international students’ future development. Minister Zheng encouraged the students to cherish their time of study, tell China’s stories well, and strive for a safe, smooth, and successful education journey abroad. The Embassy will continue to do its utmost in providing consular protection.
Prof. Wang said that the university will work together with all parties to provide better protection for students.
Embassy diplomats and representatives from various parties shared about consular protection information, phone scam prevention, legal knowledge, and mental health, among others. The students commended the timeliness and practicality of the Embassy’s briefing, saying that they will study hard, boost their safety awareness, and give back to the motherland and the people through concrete actions.
